The doctors and nurses, as well as the nurse practioners, are all willing to listen , as well as explain the treatments, results and expected outcomes with the patients. I have never had any bad(or negative)expeariences with anyone at the clinic.

Dr. Puranik is very thorough and professional as well as knowledgeable with an excellent "bedside manner". While this was my first time seeing him and we weren't able to complete making a plan, he did spend the time with me to show that he really cares about his patients.

I have hip pain that Dr Ho diagnosed as a Trochanteric Bursa issue. We decided to go with a shot of cortisone.
Before I left the office on that visit I asked the front desk for an estimate of out of pocket expenses related to my procedure as I, like may others are having trouble making ends meet. The young lady gave me an estimate of 85 dollarsish. I thought, well, that's about what I would pay for this so I went with it. We all budget our expenses as to what one can afford.
The estimate was actually for seeing the doctor to get a diagnosis. That was $1300 dollars of which I had to pay $14 dollars.
I had the procedure done. I then received a bill for $1500 dollars my cost out of pocket.
I called the office. They were very cordial and I received help in every way. Except the bill was still there. I was told since the insurance had paid their chunk there was no way to rectify the situation. So, $3200 dollars for a cortisone shot. $1500 on my end.
There was NO WAY I would have had this done if I knew I was on the hook for $1500 dollars. I would NOT have had it done. The shot did nothing to ease my pain adding insult to injury.
The fact the desk girl gave me the wrong estimate was never taken into consideration. I was also told they had sent me two text messages stating the out of pocket costs. I don't believe I ever received them as I would not casually delete them.
I suggested in the future they wait until they can speak to the patient or at least make sure the patient has been notified. Not just send a text and leave it be. That's very unprofessional. I would have stopped the process right then had I known it was going to be this expensive.
BTW, the shot didn't work. I'm still in enough pain to where it wakes me up nightly.
While I find the doctors here to be very good, I am now paying $50 dollars a month to try to pay this off. I hope I die before it's paid. In closing, the Doctor's and the office made $1700 dollars from my insurance and want an additional $1500 from me.
Did I mention the shot DID NOT WORK?
